Our Leadership Team

We, the elders of Brookwood Baptist Church, recognize the authority of God and realize that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

We believe leadership is not about position but about service. Each of our leaders seeks to model Christlike humility, encouraging and equipping the church family to grow in faith, love, and obedience. Through teaching, mentoring, and walking alongside others, we aim to cultivate a culture where every believer is empowered to live out the gospel in daily life.

Corey Williams

Worship & Discipleship Pastor

Pastor Corey came to Brookwood in August of 2020. In addition to leading worship, he leads small groups and provides counseling to those in need. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, and watching a good movie. Corey and his wife, Sunni, have been married since 2011 and have four children: Emerson, Oliver, Natalie, and Lydia. Corey can be reached at corey@brookwood.cc.

Travis joined the staff at Brookwood in August of 2018. His wife, Tamika, is from Australia and they have two children: Jaimie and August. Ted Brown

Ted was born and raised in Chinquapin, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a BS degree in Business Administration-Accounting. At the age of 21, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and married his wife, Billie, shortly thereafter. The two of them were married for nearly 50 years and had two children before the Lord called her home in August of 2021. Ted and his family moved to Jacksonville in 1977 and began attending Brookwood Baptist Church. Since that time he has served faithfully as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and now as one of our elders.

Michael Daly

Michael joined Brookwood in 2022. He has a heart for shepherding God’s people, sharing the gospel, and making disciples. In addition to serving as an elder, Michael is preparing to plant Hope Church in southwest Jacksonville, where he will lead a new gospel-centered community to know Christ, grow in Him, and make Him known. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. Michael and his wife, Melissa, have been married since 2012 and have two children: Claire and Colton.

Chris Alger

Chris, his wife Jen, and their three children Logan, Brady, and Addison came to Jacksonville in 2010 and started attending Brookwood in 2021. Chris has volunteered in both children and adult ministries, and currently teaches adult Sunday school. Chris has been leading small groups for over 20 years and has a passion for watching people grow in their understanding of the scriptures and learning how to apply them to every day life. When not serving at Brookwood, Chris and his family can be found serving the local community in a variety of ways.

Susie joined the Brookwood family in January of 2022. She and her husband, Scott, have three boys: Atticus, Holden, & Sawyer. Susie’s background includes education, childcare, and administration. She has a strong desire to serve the Lord and share the love of Jesus with children. Amy Hoschak

Amy joined the staff at Brookwood in July 2020. She has lived here in Jacksonville since 2009 when the Marine Corps brought her family to the area. After her husband retired in 2014, they briefly moved away, But they missed Jacksonville and decided to move back and make Jacksonville their permanent home. Amy and her husband, Matt, have been married since 2003. Amy really enjoys reading and organizing. She can be reached at amy@brookwood.cc.
